Prof. Baltazar M.L. Namwata

Prof. Namwata is a Livelihood cum Expert. He is currently an Associate Professor of Development Studies, Agricultural Education and Extension in the Department of Development Finance and Management Studies and Coordinator of Consultancy Services at a reputable higher learning institution.
As a coordinator, he is responsiblefor coordinating all consultancy services. As a lecturer, Namwata teaches development studies, environmental communication and education, social development planning, project planning and management, environmental sociology and gender and development.
Namwata has been extensively involved in consultancy and field assignments related to Self Help Groups (SHGs), Sexual and Reproductive Health Services (SRHS), preparation and review of Strategic Plan, community engagement in health service management, Universal access to HIV and AIDS services, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), Local Government Planning and PlanRep III, Strengthening Producers, Processors and Market Associations, Rural Food Fortification, Public Financial Management (PFM), application of Kirkpatrick Model in training interventions, Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Budgeting and Budget Management, enterprise development and business planning, strategic leadership and good governance, the Opportunities and Obstacles to Development (O&OD) Methodology, conflict resolution and management, urban development and environmental management (UDEM), use of SWOT Analysis, Appreciative Inquiry (AI), Outcome Mapping (OM), Logical Framework Approach (LFA) and Field Force Analysis (FFA), Gender-based Violence (GBV), development and training needs assessments (TNA), organizational development (OD), planning, monitoring, evaluation and impact assessments of development interventions, socio-economic profiles and baseline surveys, adoption and impact studies and vulnerability issues. As a trainer, researcher and consultant, Namwata has worked with Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Governments (MDAS) and Local Government Authorities (LGAs) in Tanzania.
