Prof. Hija W. Mwatawala

Prof. Mwatawala is a Sustainable Agriculture Consultant. He has a PhD in Agriculture (Majoring in Sustainable Agriculture); MSc. Agriculture (Majoring in Agricultural Development) and a BSc. Animal Science of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Prof. Mwatawala is a senior lecturer and devoted researcher in both natural and social sciences in a reputable higher learning institution in Tanzania.

He has undertaken a number of roles as a researcher, trainer and consultant/facilitator for various clients and organizations including the central government, local government authority, Non-governmental organizations and the private sector. Prof. Mwatawala is devoted in Agricultural Development Planning, Agricultural Economics and Animal Breeding & Genetics in dairy cattle, beef cattle and dairy goats.

Prof. Mwatawala is also competent in the following aspects: Institutional Development and Organizational Strengthening, Managing for Impact Approach (MFI), Strategic Planning, Baseline surveys, Agricultural Value Chain Analysis, Project Planning and Management, Participatory Rural Appraisal, Training of Trainers (ToT), Public Expenditure Tracking System (PETS) and Public Private Partnership (PPP).
